Finding The Right Kaadas Digital Mortise Lock For Your Home
Mortise locks are one of the common lock types you can find across PPR flats, condominiums, and landed properties alike in Malaysia. They comprise a mortise (pocket) installed into the door, and a mortise bolt lock installed into the door itself. When the lock is activated, the bolt latch securely fastens the door and door frame together.
Mortise locks are not necessarily the most affordable lock type out there, but are still a popular choice amongst homeowners in Malaysia for their strength, durability, and anti-tamper qualities.
Whether you already have a mortise lock and want to go digital, or are planning to switch to a mortise smart lock for added security, Kaadas has what you need to make your home feel more secure.

1. Kaadas M7-W Digital Lock (RM899)
The M7 Digital Lock is a familiar blend of cutting-edge digital smart lock technology and a traditional mortise lock with handle. It is a subtle and unobtrusive smart lock that can fit onto almost any front door (between 38 -120mm thick) in Malaysia.
Unlike other typical handle locks, the M7-W does have a sleek secret – it has a Sweden FPC fingerprint sensor embedded right into the handle, so you simply need to grab the handle and turn it to unlock the door! The M7-W has multiple access modes including fingerprint recognition, touchpad PIN code, RFID card and mechanical key so you can easily configure your door to suit you and your household’s needs.
Households who have seniors living at home can consider the M7-W for its familiar appearance, as older household members might be confused by touchpad-only digital locks.
2. Kaadas Q3 Digital Lock (RM1,389)
A step up from the M7-W is our Q3 Digital Lock, which has biometric fingerprint recognition, PIN code, and RFID card capabilities and mechanical keys. Up to 100 fingerprints can be stored and recognised by the Q3 which makes it easy and convenient to add and remove new users, especially if you plan to rent out your home.
The Q3 has a wider touch screen than the M7-W, and has an intuitive push-pull use to make opening the door easier. Once you have unlocked the door, you can simply push any part of the door to open it. This is also useful for people with mobility issues and may not be able to use the turn-and-push handle of our M7-W model.
3. Kaadas K19F 3D Face Recognition (RM1,999)
The Kaadas K19F 3D Face Recognition has the same base features as our signature Kaadas K19F digital mortise lock, with the added feature of 3D facial recognition technology.
Facial recognition access is increasingly popular amongst Malaysian homeowners looking for the latest in cutting-edge home security technology as the unique facial model required to activate the lock provides high-level security access for any PPR flat, condominium, or landed property.
Kaadas smart door locks use 3D structured light at millimeter-level accuracy to cover and capture thousands of recognition points across a user’s face; our locks then extract facial features and bone structure to gain a dynamic model of your face, resulting in a unique 3D facial model. Photos or videos of the same face will not be recognised by our locks, so you can be at ease about strangers potentially misusing technology to gain access to your home.
